Aktiva Finance Group continues to execute on its strategic priorities, continuing building the regional financial infrastructure group.

The servicing platforms and investment portfolios of Intrum Baltics are acquired by Aktiva Finance Group, the leading player in Baltic debt collection and debt purchase market. The transaction, which consider 100 per cent of the equity interest in Intrum Estonia AS, Intrum Latvia SIA and Intrum Lithuania UAB, is expected to close in Q3 for the Estonian and Latvian businesses and in Q4 for the Lithuanian business.

Ülar Maapalu, Chairman of the Board of Aktiva Finance Group said:

“Acquiring Intrum operations in Baltics aligns with our strategy to build a successful pan-Baltic financial infrastructure group. We see this step as a necessary milestone for our future vision, and I am certain Intrum clients continue to receive high-level customer experience and will appreciate the wider array of value-added services that Aktiva Finance Group today offers.”

Andrés Rubio, President & CEO of Intrum said, “Reducing the number of jurisdictions across our geographical footprint allows us to concentrate our resources on Franchise markets and selected Tactical markets. To divest our operations in the Baltics aligns with our ambition to create a more targeted organisation, focusing on markets where we can achieve leadership in both Servicing and Investing, and ultimately setting the foundation for commercial success and increased profitability.”

Ilva Valeika, Intrum Managing Director in Baltics points out: ”Intrum operations in Baltics have been successful and profitable and always focused on clients and employees. I´m very pleased with what Intrum has achieved during all these years while operating in Baltics and wish for new investor the drive to accelerate and achieve even more. There are all the necessary conditions for that- strong and professional team, culture and best in class service. On behalf of Intrum, I want to thank all clients and partners for long-term cooperation and believe they will be in good hands as Aktiva Finance Group has the Baltic market experience and knowledge for three decades.”
